Paper 1: Principles and Practice of Accounting

The first paper which all the CA Foundation students have to attempt is Accounting. Since it is a practical subject, the students’ only focus should be on practice. The more they try their hands on different questions the more likely they’re to get better results.
Going through the ICAI study material, all the illustrations, and other questions is the first step towards revision. The next task is to refer to the mock tests prescribed by ICAI. Aspirants shall also consider referring to their class notes and other reference material.

Paper 2: Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting

This paper consists more of theory which is why you’re required to go through the study material repeatedly. The preparation pattern would include multiple readings, understanding of concepts, revision from notes, and attempting test papers. Ignoring the study material of ICAI could cost you more than you can ever imagine.

Paper 3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics

Although this is an MCQ based exam, it still requires a lot of practice. Maths, being one of the toughest subjects asks for a little more effort than you would usually plan to give. The next plan of action should include analyzing the previous year’s questions and familiarising yourself with the exam pattern.

Paper 4: Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge

The paper 4 is an MCQ based paper but definitely, not an easy one too. The candidates must pay heed on understanding the concepts clearly and attempting as many questions as possible. Revising your notes repeatedly would do the needful. Studying the exam pattern would be advantageous.
